I asked myself already a couple of times how people/shops can "overhaul" a transmission for less money than the main bearings are - either all "good guys" who pay them on their behalf or they don´t change them at all ...
the one below is what in my opinion a reconditioned transmission is - added with some extra strenghtening: all main bearings are FAG new, SuperDiff, thrust plate, HD side cover, welded nos big teeth 3rd gear, welded nos big teeth 4th gear. one of those you can sell with pure conscience ... everything else is bullshit or cheating
